The unique entry number you will be provided on submission is your receipt and should be used in all correspondence with Hobart City Council including Entry Fee payment which must be completed prior to the closing date.

Exhibition selections will be advised in early July.

• I certify that I will have been a resident of Australia for the 12 months prior to 1 October 2012.
• I have read the conditions detailed in the ‘Conditions and Requirements for Entry’ and agree to abide by them.
• I have read, understand and will abide by the size and weight limitations as set out in the terms and conditions.
• I declare that the art, craft or design work submitted for final exhibition is original and executed by me, or by a partnership in line with the conditions accompanying this entry form, in the years 2011 and/or 2012.
• I will accept that the judging panel’s decision is final at all stages of judging and that no correspondence will be entered into regarding these decisions.
• I understand that the judging panel may decide that no prizes in any category be awarded if the work is not of a required standard, or if, in its judgment, other factors necessitate this action.
• I understand that the Hobart City Council compiles a database of artists who participate in the City of Hobart Art Prize and this is intended for internal use only. Artists on the database may also be sent information about other Hobart City Council programs and activities. I agree to my name and contact details being included on this database.
• I agree, if my work is selected for final exhibition, that the work may be reproduced in line with the terms and conditions detailed in this entry form and in support of future City of Hobart Art Prizes and/or Hobart City Council promotion.
• I agree, if my work is selected for final exhibition, to take responsibility for the delivery of my work to and from the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery on the dates nominated by the Hobart City Council.
• I understand that while all due care will be taken in the repackaging of artworks, the Hobart City Council and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and/or their agents, will accept no liability for loss and/or damage during transit.
• I understand that the insurance of works in transit to and from the exhibition venue is the sole responsibility of selected entrants.
• I understand that the Hobart City Council and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery reserve the right to determine the most appropriate method for displaying work to ensure public safety, and reserve the right to refuse to display any works deemed inappropriate or unsafe.
